EUNSEO
“Eunseo” is a story about a 37-year-old Eunseo who defected from North Korea 20 years ago rediscovering her identity after meeting her newly defected mother for the first time in a long time. This captivating film sheds light on some of the hidden challenges that North Korean defectors may face while living in South Korea. Screened as an opening film at the 7th Diaspora Film Festival, it grabbed the attention of the audience, winning the Grand Jury Prize at the 1st Pyeongchang International Peace Film Festival. Director Park Joon-ho shares his inspiration for the film and interpretation on some of the key scenes.
