How Feasible is Moon's "New Northern Policy"?
In the wake of Pyongyang's sixth nuclear test, President Moon Jae-in held summit talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin and discussed ways to contain North Korea's nuclear and missile threats. Resolving the North Korean nuclear issue is critical to the peace of Northeast Asia as well as economic cooperation within the region.
On this week's UPFRONT, we are joined by Shin Se-don, professor of economics at Sookmyung Women's University, and Kim Jae-chun, professor in the Graduate School of International Studies at Sogang University, to assess President Moon's "New Northern Policy" and economic cooperation with Russia.
