The President's Men and Their Pivotal Role

The Quest for "Korea Route": A Maiden Voyage to Greenland
In September, President Lee Myung-bak undertook a historic expedition.
President Lee toured four nations in eight days, namely, Russia, Greenland, Norway, and Kazakhstan in his quest to build a stronger South Korea.
As the first South Korean leader to visit Greenland, he bolstered bilateral cooperation on the sustainable green growth development of the resource-rich Arctic nation.
In Greenland and Norway, President Lee pushed for the "Korea Route", involving green growth and sea route projects in line with Korea's aspirations in the Arctic region.

The President's Men and Their Pivotal Role
The success of all state visits hinges on preparations led by an advance team for the president.
A month prior to the official trips, a small team of presidential staff hits the road to prepare every detail including travel, accommodation, and security.
Once a visit begins, the team is on standby to make sure everything runs smoothly.
In the recent successful launch of the "Korea Route", the president’s advance team played a crucial role.
Their stories are told.
