The World On arirang

In 2007, rowdy Asian teenage boys gathered in Kunming, China, a multi-cultural city where, albeit a small population, 25 different minority groups live together. They gathered because of the International Youth Soccer Peace Cup. The participating teams were Incheon Kwangsung Middle School Soccer Team, South Korea, Yokohama F. Marinos Youth Team, Japan, Kunming Middle School Team, China, and 4.25 Youth Soccer Team, North Korea.

The North Korean 4.25 Youth Soccer Team was veiled from the world, but was well-known for having the best soccer skills in all of North Korea. Through the International Youth Soccer Peace Cup, which retains the reputation of the best youth soccer games in Asia, we meet this team personally for the first time. This documentary follows the story of the first encounter with the 4.25 Youth Soccer Team to the events in 2012.

Many off-season training sessions, qualifying matches, several incidents between the North and South, major changes due to major happenings such as the death of Kim Jong-il, the genuine and pure sportsmanship of the Youth Teams seen through the hot issue of discussions of a unified team, and the North and South Korean teenagers who simply enjoy soccer, uninhibited by any political ideology or system, are all captured on film.
