Chefs use anchovies to make stock for bean paste stew, and chop peppers and onions to stir-fry with kimchi… But the people here creating theirown unique Koreandish are in fact foreigners residing in Korea. From gujeolpan to japchae, beef-ribs and pumpkin porridge,
the dishes that are presented at the contest are as diverse as the nationalities of the chefs.
Interest in Korean food such as kimchi and bibimbap are on the rise among foreigners along with the Korean Wave in music and dramas. Discovering the Master of Korean Cuisine depicts a Korean cooking contest for foreigners as well as their effortful preparations in ingredients and recipes for the best Korean dish.
25 teams of 40 foreigners demonstrate their cooking talents with their great passion for Korean cuisine… Enjoy savory flavors and eye-appealing food asthey compete within a limited time of 80 minutes, displaying diverse Korean dishes.
