Rain alerts have been lifted across the country after a bout of torrential monsoon downpours over the past day or two.
The rain, nonetheless, claimed three lives.
One person died when the roof of a building collapsed; another was drowned by a strong current in a stream, and another apparently fell into a deep pool of water that had formed.
The rain and flooding damaged more than 160 roads and inundated some 100 homes.
Later Friday, there are sporadic showers in the forecast for Seoul and the surrounding regions, accompanied by lightning, so officials have asked people to take precautions.
