S. Korea reports 16,584 new COVID-19 cases on Friday Updated: 2022-05-27 17:01:24 KST

The number of new cases of COVID-19 in South Korea today came to 16-thousand 5-hundred-84.
That's around 2-thousand fewer cases than yesterday, and marks the lowest number for a Friday since late January.
There were 40 more deaths.
