Business sentiment among South Korean companies remained unchanged this month overall.
The Bank of Korea says the Business Sentiment Index for all industries for this month stands at 86 points, the same as April.
A reading below 100 means pessimists about the economy outnumber optimists.
Among manufacturing companies, the index is down by one point at 86.
The central bank attributed the drop to the rise in commodity prices and China's lockdown.
For non-manufacturing businesses, the index was up one point, also at 86.
That's the highest figure in more than 11 years thanks to the lifting of social distancing measures.
