For the first time in over six years a South Korean movie is going to be released officially in mainland China.
A local media agency reported that "Oh My Gran" starring Na Moon-hee will open nationwide on Friday.
China had banned the cinema release of South Korean movies in protest over Seoul's deployment of a U.S. missile defense system, THAAD, back in 2016.
The last Korean movie to be officially released in China was "Assassination" in September 2015.
