U.S. seeks to completely denuclearize Korean Peninsula through diplomacy: Biden Updated: 2021-09-22 11:39:51 KST

America seeks to completely denuclearize the Korean Peninsula through diplomacy.
That's coming from Joe Biden, in his first in-person remarks as U.S. President at the UN General Assembly.
The commander in chief highlighted that his country seeks concrete progress toward a plan with tangible commitments that would increase stability on the Peninsula and in the wider region, as well as improve the lives of the people in North Korea.
The remark follows U.S. Special Representative for North Korea Sung Kim repeatedly offering to meet with the regime "anytime, anywhere without preconditions."
So far, no response from Pyeongyang, which has stayed away from denuclearization talks with the States since early 2019.
Biden also mentioned Washington will return to full compliance with the Iran nuclear deal, should Tehran choose to do so.
