North Korea dismissed Seoul's newly unveiled SLBM but warned it could heighten tensions on the Peninsula.
The regime's Central News Agency reported on Monday that the chief of a military think tank said South Korea's SLBM looks rudimentary and ineffective.
But, he added Pyeongyang will closely monitor why Seoul is constantly working to develop missile capabilities.
These comments came just days after South Korea announced the successful test-launch of its homegrown SLBM.
South Korea became only the seventh nation in the world to prove its SLBM capabilities in the field.
