The World Health Organization chief has once again urged fairness of access to COVID-19 vaccines, saying he wants to "see vaccination underway in every country in the next one hundred days."
Speaking at a virtual press conference in Geneva on Friday, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus highlighted that efforts should be made to ensure that middle and low-income countries are just as equally protected.
According to the WHO, 38 out of the 46 countries that have begun inoculations are high-income countries.
The organization voiced hope that it will be able to provide COVAX facility vaccines to developing countries within the first quarter of the year.
