Now to the closing numbers on the market,
U.S. stocks dived for a third consecutive day on Tuesday as shares of tech stocks extended declines.
Shares of Facebook, Amazon and Apple were each off by at least 3-percent.
Tesla shares showed the biggest slide, slumping by 21 percent after the company was bypassed for S&P 500 inclusion.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average and the S&P 500 both dropped more than 2 percent.
The tech-heavy NASDAQ fell more than 4 percent to finish at 10-thousand 847.6.
Oil prices, slid too, with Brent Crude down more than 5-percent.
WTI also dropped 7-percent to almost 37-dollars a barrel.
