An Air India Express plane crashed at an airport in the South Indian state of Kerala on Friday, killing at least 17 people.
The exact cause of the crash is yet to be discovered, but the Boeing 737, en route from Dubai, skidded off the runway in rainand broke in two after landing at Calicut Airport.
According to the local aviation authorities, two pilots are among the dead.
With around 190 people on board, dozens were injured, and 15 passengers are in critical condition.
India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted about the crash, saying he was "pained by the plane accident."
