Negotiations resume for TPP talks Updated: 2014-12-08 13:19:06 KST

Negotiations for a regional free-trade agreement for twelve countries, known as TPP or Trans Pacific Partnership, have resumed in Washington.
The six-day working-level meeting started on Sunday, local time and up for discussion are outstanding issues such as intellectual property and reform of state-owned firms to establish fair business competition in areas where developed and emerging economies have been at odds.
The U.S.-led TPP involves countries including Australia, Japan and Vietnam.
South Korea, which is not represented at the talks, announced an interest in participating in November last year.
