Star actress Kim Hye-ja has won an award from the Los Angeles Film Critics Association on Saturday, for her leading role in the Korean movie "Mother."
The critics highly appraised Kim's realistic depiction of a mother who would do anything for her son.

The movie, which tells the disturbing story of how a mother covers her son's crime by killing a key witness, was not received favorably in Korea, but foreign critics gave it high marks.
