President Yoon Suk-yeol held a lunch meeting today with the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres.
The were reportedly going to discuss North Korea's nuclear weapons program and other issues, such as climate change.
At a press briefing the day before, President Yoon's National Security Advisor, Kim Sung-han, said the meeting would be an opportunity to strengthen South Korea's cooperation with the UN.
Later in the day, Guterres was due for talks with Foreign Minister Park Jin before wrapping up his two-day stay in Seoul.
It marks the UN chief's first visit to South Korea since the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics.
