Kim Jong-un absent for N. Korean war veteran conference celebrating 'Victory Day' Updated: 2022-07-27 17:08:13 KST

North Korea held a mass conference of war veterans on Tuesday in Pyeongyang to commemorate the 69th anniversary of the Korean War armistice, an occasion the North refers to as "Victory Day."
But Kim Jong-un was reportedly absent, and in fact, Kim has not been seen in public for nearly three weeks.
Observers widely expected that he would attend, since he did go to the last two events, and some expected he would give a speech on the regime's nuclear capabilities.
It's believed the North has completed all preparations for what would be its seventh nuclear test.
