Good afternoon. I am Lee Jeehyun filling in for Choi-Jian this afternoon. The monsoon makes its return, getting ready to drop rain across Korea the capital will see rain any minute now
The further north you are, the heavier the rainfall you could get through tomorrow with up to 150 millimeters of rain in the forecast in north-central regions. And it looks to be a rainy week.
Not only has the monsoon season come early this year but also many regions had the season's first tropical nights over the weekend, which is a couple of weeks earlier than usual Seoul had the warmest June night in 25 years last night.
Highs won't go up too high today, but the high humidity makes it feel very uncomfortable.
In fact, the risk of food poisoning is at its highest level across Korea, be mindful of food safety and remember to clean, separate, cook and chill your food.
With that, here's a look at the weather conditions around the world.
