Among the many people taking part in early voting today were President Yoon Suk-yeol and First Lady Kim Keon-hee.
At lunch time on Friday, they went together to a polling station in Yongsan near the presidential office.
In early voting ballots can be cast at any polling station, not just in one's home district -- President Yoon's home is across the river in Seocho-gu District.
Shortly after they stamped their ballot papers, they put together the envelopes containing the ballot papers into a box.
Ballots were also cast today by former President Moon Jae-in and the country's new Prime Minister Han Duck-soo.
