The two-day early voting period for the June 1st local elections began today.
Polling stations are open from 6 AM to 6 PM.
And those eligible to vote will decide on mayors, governors, education superintendents and leaders of local councils nationwide.
Voters in some areas, where parliamentary by-elections are taking place, will pick their legislatures as well.
Those infected with COVID-19 can also cast their ballots early -- despite the 7-day mandatory self-quarantine and can do so on the second day -- Saturday -- from 6:30 PM to 8 PM.
They must show proof of a PCR test or RAT with their name on it and are not allowed to take public transportation to ballot stations.
