Chinese, Russian warplanes fly into S. Korea's air defense zone on Tues. Updated: 2022-05-25 05:00:58 KST

Six foreign warplanes briefly entered South Korea's air defense zone without notice on Tuesday.
But they did not enter the country's airspace.
Two Chinese warplanes flew into the KADIZ at about 8AM, and stayed inside for about an hour and a half before moving away.
About two hours later, four Russian military aircrafts crossed into the zone before flying away about fifteen minutes later.
In response, Seoul's military reportedly deployed F-15K and KF-16 fighter jets to the area.
This appears to have happened while Beijing and Moscow held their first joint drills since Russia's invasion of Ukraine at a time when U.S. President Joe Biden is in the middle of Asia tour.
