South Korea on Tuesday reported 26,344 new cases of COVID-19.
There were 232 critically ill cases and 19 deaths.
The country saw fewer than 10-thousand cases on Monday for the first time in 118 days but the COVID tally has shot back up to over 20-thousand.
Nevertheless, the numbers are still on a downward trend and today's numbers are the lowest seen on a Tuesday in the past 16 weeks.
There are almost 10-thousand fewer cases than last Tuesday and more than 20-thousand fewer than two weeks ago.
