South Korea's new Prime Minister, Han Duck-soo, said at his inauguration ceremony today that he will be at the forefront of building national unity.
Speaking at the Sejong Government Complex, Han also pledged the swift implementation of the extra budget now in parliament aimed at compensating small businesses hit by the COVID-19 restrictions.
He also said he will leverage his experience as a public official to address the challenges South Korea faces today.
In terms of economics, he promised to do everything he can to improve people's livelihoods, which includes dealing with inflation.
He also said that he will work to create an atmosphere in which companies can thrive, and make them the center of the country's economic growth.
