Following up on the South Korea-U.S. summit, Seoul's defense ministry says it's going to look into ways to deploy U.S. strategic assets to the Korean Peninsula.
A ministry spokesperson said Monday that Seoul will look to build a cooperative system between the two countries, and strengthen training on the deployment of strategic assets through "regular exercises."
Presidents Yoon and Biden agreed in their summit to start discussions on deploying strategic U.S. assets to the Korean Peninsula in a timely manner, and to expand the scale of combined military exercises.
