Lawmakers are set to vote on whether to approve President Yoon's pick of Prime Minister.
The National Assembly will hold a plenary session Friday 4PM, with the confirmation vote on Han Duk-soo largely depending on the main opposition Democratic Party, which has a 167-seat majority in the 300-seat parliament.
Han has served as PM before , during the Roh Moo-hyun administration, and worked 40 years as a civil servant, at various economic agencies.
He also served as ambassador to the United States.
The Prime Minister's office is the only Cabinet position that needs the green light from Parliament.
