Turning to the U.S. on Saturday, where an 18-year-old gunman shot and killed 10 people and wounded three others at a grocery store in Buffalo, New York.
Following the attack the suspect surrendered in what authorities are calling a hate crime.
The perpetrator had armed himself with an assault-style rifle and traveled several hours to the store in a predominantly Black community.
Reports indicate that eleven of the 13 people shot were Black, while two were white.
Speaking on Sunday, President Joe Biden urged Americans to (quote) “work together to address the hate that remains a stain on the soul of America."
Vice President Kamala Harris, meanwhile, denounced the epidemic of hate across the nation.
