Starting next Monday, travelers will no longer have to wear face masks at airports or on flights in Europe.
The health protocol was issued Wednesday by the EU's Aviation Safety Agency and the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control.
However, they advise airlines that passengers and crew should wear masks on flights to and from countries that still have mask mandates for public transport.
The decision comes in light of Europe's high vaccination rate, increasing natural immunity, and more countries easing virus prevention measures.
