Tesla CEO, Elon Musk, has said he would reverse Twitter's ban on former U.S. President, Donald Trump, if he completes his takeover bid.
Speaking virtually Tuesday at a car conference organized by the Financial Times, Musk called the ban a mistake that "alienated the country".
Twitter permanently banned Trump in January 2021, over repeated rule violations.
The platform also cited the risk of inciting further violence, following riots at the US Capitol on 6 January 2021 as part of its decision.
Trump has previously said he would not return to Twitter, and will instead use his own Truth Social platform.
