For a look at news from around the world, we now turn to our Matthew Ashley standing by at the Arirang newsroom. Good morning.
Good morning.
Let's start in Afghanistan where a new rule announced by the Taliban has led to protests.
That's right, Taking to the streets on Tuesday, women in the country protested recent restrictions imposed by the administration.
This follows a ruling made by the Taliban's supreme leader on Saturday, decreeing that Afghan women must cover their faces.
The move signals an escalation in restrictions on women in public and comes amid growing backlash from many Afghans and the international community.
While most women in the country wear a headscarf for religious reasons, many in urban areas don't cover their faces.
In recent months the Taliban also introduced rules on women traveling without a male chaperone, alongside a ban on men and women visiting parks at the same time.
This despite assurances from the group, that they have changed since their previous repressive period in power.
