Due to the rise in the number of COVID-19 infections, Seoul City government will not extend late-night operation of public transportation during the upcoming Lunar New Year holiday.
On Tuesday, the City unveiled its transportation plan for the 5 day holiday starting this weekend.
There will also be no extra bus services stopping at city-run cemeteries for those wishing to perform New Year ancestral rites
Late-night buses and taxis will operate as usual for travelers arriving in or departing from the city late at night.
While recommending that people stay home during the holidays the City will also strengthen anti-virus measures by conducting more frequent disinfections at major bus terminals, as well as setting up isolation areas for anyone suspected of having the virus.
