Data show that South Korea's food prices rose in the third quarter by five percent from a year earlier, but that was a slower pace than the quarter before.
It was the fourth highest increase among the 34 OECD member countries, down from third in Q-2.
The figure includes the prices of groceries and nonalcoholic beverages.
This comes amid soaring global raw material and grain prices along with rising prices of domestic farm and fishery products.
In the first quarter, food prices had risen more than eight percent, and then seven percent in the second quarter.
