China's birth rate last year hit a low not seen since records began due to an aging population, more people going into higher education and anti-COVID measures.
According to the country's National Bureau of Statistics, the birth rate in 2020 was eight.five-two per thousand people.
It's the first time the figure has dropped below ten.
This come despite China scrapping its one-child policy in 2016.
In May, China relaxed that even more, allowing couples to have up to three kids.
