This woman living alone often has a hard time looking for things that she needs.
But an AI-powered robot is here to help her.
"Find me my red cup "
The robot looks around the house and finds the red cup she's looking for.
It even wants to work out together.
"Let's work out."
"I don't have anyone to talk to when I'm alone. And because of the pandemic, it's hard to go outside, so I'm really satisfied with the robot."
The robot monitors the owner closely and responds in case of an emergency, for example if its owner were to fall down.
"We have developed a robot that can move around freely by itself and truly understand humans. Through this kind of technology, we can offer help to seniors."
The institute that developed this robot has been collecting data for about four years.
It was then tested for around two months at two real homes with senior citizens and was found to be helpful.
"We collected a lot of data from senior men and women, the database is open to Korean engineers who would need it."
The institute plans to further develop the robot so that it can do household chores, like cleaning and setting the dinner table.
