The South Korean health authorities plan to announce detailed inoculation plans this coming Thursday.
The information likely to be announced includes the schedule, who would get vaccines first, and where they will be administered.
Health official Kwon Jun-wook said in a briefing on Saturday that the government is concerned about mutated COVID-19 variants, because they spread faster.
He warned that South Korea might again experience difficulties due to the mutated strains.
On Saturday, South Korea reported 431 new cases of COVID-19.
All but 28 were locally transmitted.
New infections were mostly concentrated in the capital area, with Seoul adding 119 cases and 113 in Gyeonggi-do Province.
