Declaration of Korean War's end 'obvious' part of N. Korean denuclearization process: Pompeo Updated: 2020-10-22 13:25:11 KST

U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo says a declaration to formally end the Korean War would "obviously" be part of efforts to denuclearize the Korean Peninsula.
At a press briefing Wednesday, Pompeo stressed there's been no change in Washington's stance on the need for such a declaration.
His remarks come a matter of weeks after President Moon Jae-in called for international support to formally end the war in a speech to the UN General Assembly.
The two Koreas are technically still at war since the conflict from 1950 to 53 ended with an armistice, not a peace treaty.
