South Korea's presidential office has revealed that deputy security advisor Kim Hyun-chong visited the U.S. earlier this month to discuss pending bilateral issues and regional affairs.
It said Kim was there from September 16th to the 20th to meet with officials from the White House, the State Department and think tanks.
Seoul and Washington reaffirmed their bilateral alliance ahead of the U.S. presidential elections in November and exchanged views on North Korea.
However, the top office did not reveal specific details.
