Meanwhile, Texas Rangers' veteran outfielder Choo Shin-soo slammed his third home run of the season against the Oakland Athletics in California on the same day.
Choo, who is a leadoff hitter for the Rangers, struck the first pitch of the game deep to left-field wall, putting the visitors on the board early on.
The latest homerun puts him side-to-side with Charlie Blackmon and George Springer, as active players with the most leadoff home runs in the Major League at thirty-six.
