S. Korea plans to develop COVID-19 treatment by end of the year Updated: 2020-06-05 10:00:18 KST

The latest extra government budget includes around 82 million U.S. dollars to be used in developing a COVID-19 treatment within this year and start mass producing vaccines by 2021.
South Korea is currently working on two possible options one using antibodies from patients who've recovered.
There's another that would inject blood plasma from recovered patients.
Also, on Wednesday, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety gave its approval to the emergency use of the Ebola treatment Remdesivir.
