Researchers have confirmed a previously unknown type of tomb from the ancient kingdom of Gaya.
The tomb is in Geochang County in Gyeongsangnam-do Province.
The county office announced on Wednesday that they found stone tombs arranged in the shape of an upper-case letter 'H,' something the researchers that excavated them say hasn't been seen in other Gaya tombs.
Researchers also found artifacts such as an iron ax, gold earrings, glass beads and jade necklaces.
Based on the findings, the tombs are estimated to be from the late 5th or early 6th century.
