South Korea and Japan will hold working-level diplomatic talks in Seoul in the coming hours.
According to the foreign ministry the director-general for Asian and Pacific affairs, Kim Jung-han will meet his Japanese counterpart Shigeki Takizaki this afternoon to discuss what it calls "issues of mutual interest."
The meeting comes a week before South Korean Prime Minister Lee Nak-yon attends Japanese Emperor Naruhito's enthronement ceremony.
They will discuss Tokyo's export curbs and Seoul's subsequent decision to terminate a bilateral military intel-sharing pact.
The two officials last met in Tokyo a month ago.
