The European Union is considering tougher sanctions against North Korea following this month's missile launch.
On Monday the EU's executive arm condemned Pyongyang's latest provocation, calling it a serious threat to international peace and security.
Included in the official statement: the EU will now consider (quote) "further appropriate responses" with its allies in line with UN resolutions.
It also states they support Seoul's efforts to engage in dialogue with Pyongyang.
North Korea test fired a long-range missile on July 4th, claiming it can hit targets anywhere in the world.
