U.S. President Joe Biden is holding a formal press conference to mark his first year in office.
On the eve of his one-year mark in office, Biden touted the work and efforts made by his administration.
While acknowledging the frustration and fatigue from the pandemic, he said "enormous progress" had been made on COVID-19, reassuring the public that the country will not roll back to lockdowns.
He also admitted that the US should have done more testing earlier in the pandemic, but stressed that his administration is doing more now.
Biden highlighted that the country is currently in a better position to tackle the virus, citing vaccination efforts and new medication.
On inflation, he vowed to fight to keep it under control as people are seeing higher prices.
