U.S. reports most COVID-19 infections in world; cases surge in Spain

With COVID-19 sweeping the globe, the total number of reported infections has now topped 780-thousand.
The United States has seen the most confirmed cases over 160-thousand so far.
The death toll in the U.S. has surpassed the 3-thousand mark.
New York and New Jersey are among the worst affected and all but two states Wyoming and Hawaii have reported fatalities.
In Europe, Spain has seen its total number of infections surpassing those reported by China.
As of Monday, Spain reported more than 5-thousand new cases in a single day, bringing its total to over 87-thousand.
The country's death toll is closing in on eight-thousand.
