Jeong Yak-jeon, an exile to Heuksan Island during the Catholic Persecution, becomes interested in sea creatures of the island and decides to write a book about them. “The Book of Fish” is an acclaimed movie that gained recognition by a range of film awards and festivals in 2021, including the Baeksang Arts Awards, Buil Film Festival, Korean Association of Film Critics Awards, and Blue Dragon Film Awards.
Based on true story of Jeong Yak-jeon, the author of book “Jasaneobo (The Book of Fish),” writer Kim Se-gyum brought a fictitious story of Chang-dae in the movie. Kim guides us to the best scenes and behind stories of film “The Book of Fish,” one of the best films in 2021.
