MY PUNCH-DRUNK BOXER
‘Byung-gu’ was once in the spotlight as a promising professional boxer, but his career came to an end after a dire mistake. While eager to start boxing again, he gets diagnosed with “punch drunk syndrome,” a condition caused by repeated heavy blows to the head. However, nothing can stop ‘Byung-gu’ from pursuing his dreams. He takes his unique form of fighting, which he calls “Pansori Boxing.” He fights to the sounds of pansori, a Korean traditional style of musical storytelling using a singer and a drummer (gosu).
