Here’s our second edition of horror film specially prepared to cool down the sweltering summer heatwave! This is our second week introducing a horror film made from the unique perspective and approach of independent films. The film [Disillusioned] tells a story that emerges after a young fisherman encounters a stranger with a crippled leg and a strange sack. As the winner of the filming award at the 19th Mise en scene Independent Film Festival and one of the films screened at the 30th Rio De Janeiro Independent Film Festival, the movie keeps track of vivid details and tensions that arise between the young fisherman and the stranger over the mysterious bag. Director Sim Kyu-ho, who starred in the film, tells us where he gained the idea to create this movie, how he designed each character, and various interpretations surrounding the project.
