The World On arirang

Yang Hae-nam is a Korean film enthusiast known for his collection of Korean movie posters and films. He has been collecting items for 30 years since 1989. His catalog includes nearly 10,000 items, including 2,500 posters. Mr. Yang says he has focused on collecting posters, because that is what gives an audience the first impression and the plot of the whole film. He believes that a movie poster is the “face of the movie.” He boasts his collection of unique and rare items produced before the 80s. His collection has contributed immensely in archiving Korean films and data. Mr. Yang says he is willing to continue sharing his collections by making a book out of his posters and other items.
