The National Trust: Protecting Natural and Cultural Heritage
Various elements of the natural environment and cultural heritage are threatened by development projects. That's why National Trust movements to protect nature and culture through collective public efforts are on the rise. A National Trust refers to the acquirement and preservation of valuable natural and cultural assets through citizens' donations. We took a look at Korea's National Trust activities including the operation of the home of Yi Sang, a major writer in modern Korean literature, and the natural setting of the Maengsan Firefly Nature school, located in the middle of urban surroundings.
