Shortly after the Korean War, South Korea went through rapid industrialization and economic growth and within half a century became the world's 7thlargest exporter. This growth is called the 'Miracle on the Han River'. Korea used to receive foreign aid but now it is a country that gives foreign aid. In fact, it’s the only country in the world that has made this transition.
